Poll time, Poll time, its Poll time! We're getting some super fire 90u Fresh Press ready for a new VIP drop (which may Drip right on the public menu eventually), but we wanted to touch base with the heads first and see if they're game for what we're thinking...
What's Fresh Press Rosin THCa?
Fresh Press is the consistency of rosin that all rosin begins as. It is the first step and the initial result of the rosin press. With minimal heat and heavy pressure placed upon trichomes, what spills from the press is translucent oil in shades of blonde and gold. This fresh press is then left to sit and cure for days until it hardens, pushing a shining layer of terpenes to the surface that's then whipped and stirred into the THCa Cold Cures or simply rosin or rosin badder you're used to. But producers of the finest THCa products can elect to forgo the cold cure and instead return the semi-translucent "Fresh Press" material back into refrigeration, preserving this immaculate oil in a translucent "fresh press" condition.
However, achieving a fresh press rosin with enough stability to travel or even leave the lab without buddering (becoming opaque in appearance and hard in texture) is quite an accomplishment. Just getting the fresh press rosin off the paper pressing sheets and into jars is a serious challenge that takes an enormous amount of time and attention to detail. But, dialing in our fresh press attempts, at least this time we left it on the paper to freeze, rather than trying to remove it all from one big jar like last time.
Unfortunately, not only has USPS raised and changed their rates repeatedly over the last year or so (happened again yesterday), they've also taken a two-day, Flat Rate mail service and decided its more like three days or more. This depends upon location, and we actually had several Friday orders show up on Monday (last week), like they used to. We know these guys will hold stable for a bare minimum of three to four days at 70 plus degree room temp. Again we will throw in the ice packs and double wrap the pack.
Something to keep in mind as well, the more rosin the more stability. Single grams will budder up the fastest followed by doubles and five grams would last the longest. So we would think... Regardless, with the #baddertech this is your best chance at trying the finest version of the plant. The amount of tricks and deceptions surrounding the plant industry would amaze experts, but fresh press avoids and eliminates all the frivolities and brings you the closest you're going to get to the living plant.

USPS inconsistency and lack of temp control has been the thing holding me back from trying Fresh Press, but it sounds like you are taking all the right steps to address those issues (bigger jars, ice, multiple seals, etc.). Looks like I overlooked this current drop, but will be on the lookout for the next one. Nice work!

I have yet to ever get my hands on some fresh press, but with how good qe rosin is when already cured, I’d totally want to try its precursor.
